duration of the inaugural ceremonies. if you are heading across the 14th street bridge, the ramp to the ninth street tunnel, 12th street tunnel and the third street tunnel will be closed all day. you can get an overview navy yard. you cannot get into the mall area from the southeast southwest freeway. the memorial bridges closed except for pedestrians and special permits. there are no hov restrictions today. you will be sent off the hov lanes northbound 395 to the pentagon to continue into town. it's not the greatest idea to be driving across the 14th street bridge today into town. and you will be sent on to a pentagon, on the hov. third streets will be blocked off until 7:00 tonight.

advice and got their smartrip cards in advance which is really good, because that will ease the lines today. the lines that you saw at power line stations when the system opened, i believe, or the early birds waiting on the first train or two to go through the system. we're not seeing those crowds continue. that appeared to be in a pre- opening surge. the trains are running on all five lines right now and people are making their way down towards the national mall. the first trains are just getting ready to roll through downtown. >> you'll have ambassadors on hand to help them navigate. >> that's right. we have about 200 metro ambassadors, employees volunteer to work today from departments that don't normally operate on the frontlines. its people out of human resources and our legal department and accountants out there to help and provide direction and assistance for

roosevelt bridge, you're not getting very far. 23rd street is as far as you get unless you have a special permit. if you take the exit to the left would say if she to the eastern expressway, if you will not get as far as 18th street. the best thing to do it is turn left at 20th street off the eastern expressway from the roosevelt bridge and avoid trouble. there are metro stations closed today for the ongoing inauguration activity. archives, mount vernon square, and smithsonian are closed. if you have tickets for the inauguration, use the union station, judiciary square, capitol south, and federal centers southwest's stations. those are pretty much only for inauguration tickets holders. l'enfant plaza, gal replace, if you don't have a ticket. the parking lots will be filling up very early this morning, so have a backup plan in case you get to the parking lot and it is

block. now more. >> the joy of celebrating a birthday party was shattered just before midnight in this fort washington neighborhood when a young man attending the event was gunned down. the 16-year-old marcus jones of fort washington was shot near his car soon after leaving the home. this person lives nearby and said that he heard the sound of gunfire. >> i had just got in the house five minutes and i heard a few shots and it sounded like gunfire. i went to the door and i heard a fourth shot. >> then he has said he thought 20 saw could of been the suspect running away. >> i have not seen drugs or alcohol. the kids looked like they were well mannered and well-dressed. you would not think there was a problem, but obviously there was. >> frederick has lived in this gneighborhood for a generation.
